Ashutosh had set a self-imposed deadline to finish the work on the trailer and surprise his team. Reports suggest that the lead casts and the entire "Mohenjo Daro" team were excited to watch the trailer of the film.

Just before the trailer release, the makers unveiled the motion poster and lead actress Pooja Hegde's first look, which has created a good hype for the film.

Directed by Ashutosh, the epic period drama set in the Indus Valley Civilization is presented by UTV Motion Pictures and Ashutosh Gowariker Productions and produced Siddharth Roy Kapur and Sunita Gowariker. "Mohenjo Daro" features Hrithik and Pooja in the lead roles, while Kabir Bedi and Arunoday Singh are the supporting cast.
