In the recent past, there have been projects which almost brought one of Bollywood's most adorable onscreen pairs together. But one thing led to another, and the reunion never happened.

If reports are to be believed, Hrithik Roshan and Kareena Kapoor Khan may be seen in a film soon. According to Deccan Chronicle's sources, Tanuja Chandra's "Chitthiyan" may bring them back on the silver screen after 12 long years.

The film is a love triangle between an army official, pilot and a woman and Sharman Joshi was reportedly roped in as one of the leads. Earlier there were reports of Shahid Kapoor doing it, but he later announced that he was in talks but hasn't signed the film. Ranbir Kapoor too reportedly showed massive interest in the project.

Despite such immense buzz, the film had been put on the back burner. However, there might be a confirmation regarding it soon.

In other news, Hrithik and Kareena were nearly ready to unleash their magic on the big screen in Karan Johar's "Shuddhi", but the former walked out due to prior professional commitments. He was also recuperating from a surgery he had had at the time.

The "Mera Naam Mary" girl too backed out of the project after the superstar decided to give Karan Johar's dream film a miss. "The idea of doing Shuddhi was to work with Hrithik (Roshan). Once he decided to opt out, it didn't work for me," The Times of India quoted her as saying.

Hrithik-Kareena have starred in four films so far -- "Yaadein" (2001), "Mujhse Dosti Karoge!" (2002), "Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham" (2001), and "Main Prem Ki Deewani Hoon" (2003).
