Leading Indian production houses have revealed the release dates of their upcoming Bollywood films "Mohenjo Daro", "ABCD 2", "Tanu Weds Manu Returns" (TWMR), "Katti Batti", "Detective Byomkesh Bakshy" (DBB), "Mastizaade" and "Phantom".
Disney India has announced the release dates of its two forthcoming offerings, "Mohenjo Daro" and ABCD 2.
"ABCD 2" (3D) is being directed by Remo D'Souza. The sequel to "ABCD" stars Prabhu Deva, Varun Dhawan and Shraddha Kapoor in the lead roles. It will release in theatres on 19 June 2015.
Disney is co-producing "Mohenjo Daro" with Ashutosh Gowariker Production Ltd. Directed by Ashutosh Gowariker, the movie features Hrithik Roshan and Pooja Hegde in the leads. A major portion of the film would be shot in South Africa. It is scheduled to hit the screens on 12 August 2016.
"Phantom" is being jointly produced by UTV and Sajid Nadiadwala. The film, which is being directed by Kabir Khan, stars Saif Ali Khan and Katrina Kaif in the lead roles. It will release in cinema halls on 28 August 2015.
UTV's another production "Katti Batti" is being directed by Nikhil Advani. Touted as a romantic comedy, the movie marks the comeback of Imran Khan, who will be seen on the big screen two years after the release of "Gori Teri Pyaar Mein". He will romance Kangna Ranaut in the movie, which will release in theatres on 18 September 2015.
Eros International has announced that its forthcoming production "Tanu Weds Manu Returns" will release on 12 June 2015. Directed by Aanand L Rai, the movie is a sequel to "Tanu Weds Manu" and stars Kangna Ranaut and Madhavan in the lead roles.
Yash Raj's "Detective Byomkesh Bakshy" is one of the most-hyped Bollywood movies. Directed by Dibakar Banerjee, the movie features Sushant Singh Rajput , Anand Tiwari and Swastika Mukherjee in the lead roles. The production house has announced to release the film on 3 April 2015.
Pritish Nandy Communications has planned to release its upcoming movie "Mastizaade" on 1 May 2015. Touted to be a sex comedy, the film is directed by Milap Zaveri and stars Sunny Leone, Tusshar, Vir Das, Riteish Deshmukh in the lead roles.
Finally, Fox Star Studios and Inspired Entertainment have planned to release their much-talked about biopic "MS Dhoni - The Untold Story" on 22 October 2015.
