Mohanlal, who was last seen in the Malayalam movie "Kanal" released in October 2015, is all set to make a mark in Tollywood as he has two Telugu projects lined up for the year. The actor, who had earlier appeared in the "Goruvanka" song for Balakrishna's Telugu film "Gaandivam" in 1994, has National Film Award winner Chandrasekhar Yeleti's "Manamantha" and Koratala Siva's "Janatha Garage" in his kitty for 2016.

In "Manamantha," which is titled as "Vismayam" in Malayalam, Mohanlal reportedly plays as a supermarket's assistant manager, who is said to be a middle-class down-to-earth man. He is expected to be a person having strong principles that he doesn't comprise for anything in life, reported the Times of India.

The movie, which narrates the story of four people at different phases of their life, also has Gauthami, Viswant, Raina Rao, ANisha Ambrose, Joy Mathew, P Balachandran, Urvashi, Nassar, Parachuri Venkateswara Rao, Vennala Kishore, Dhanraj, Praveen, Naveen Neni, Harshavardhan and Ayyapa P Sharma in pivotal roles. "Manamantha" is being produced by Sai Korapati under the banner of Vaaraahi Chalana Chithram.

Meanwhile, two phases of Mohanlal's character will be portrayed in "Janatha Garage," in which the superstar plays as an expert mechanic. He will be seen as Rahman's brother in the flick and the duo is said to be fighting against social evils. The final schedule of the film is expected to begin on June 15. "Janatha Garage" has Junior NTR in the lead role, while Samantha and Nithya Menon play as heroines. Other casts include Saikumar, Devayani and Malayalam young star Unni Mukundan will be seen as an antagonist in the film, which is one of the most anticipated movies of the year.

The movies are expected to hit the theatres in the months of July and August and reports suggest that Mohanlal will dub his parts in both the films. The actor, who is currently shooting for Priyadarshan's movie "Oppam" in Ootty, is also awaiting for the release of big budget Vysakh directed-film "Pulimurugan."
