Tamil director Vishnuvardhan has announced his upcoming flick starring Thala Ajith, and if the latest reports are true, Malayalam superstar Mohanlal will also be part of the project.
Expectations are sky high from the upcoming untitled film, as it marks the collaboration of Ajith and Vishnuvardhan after "Billa 2" and "Arrambam", which became box office hits. If the news of Mohanlal joining the team is true, it will become one of the most awaited movies even for Keralites.
It has to be noted that Mohanlal, who enjoys a huge fan following in Kerala, has many fans in Tamil Nadu as well. He has acted in five Tamil movies in the past — "Gopura Vasalile", "Iruvar", "Pop Carn", "Unnai Pol Oruvan" and "Jilla", in which he was seen as Vijay's father.
Apart from Vishnuvardhan's film, Ajith will also team up with Siruthai Siva for a family entertainer after the 2014 film "Veeram" and 2015 blockbuster "Vedalam". Ajith, who is currently undergoing treatment for the injury he suffered during the shoot of "Vedhalam", is expected to join the sets of Siruthai Siva's film after recovering from surgery.
Currently, Mohanlal is working for Chandrasekhar Yeleti's biligual project "Manamantha". Produced by Sai Korrapati under the banner of Varahi Chalana Chitra Productions, "Manamantha" has Gautami Tadimalla, S P Balasubramaiam, Naresh, Urvasi and Nedumudi Venu in pivotal roles.
