For a week now, superstar Mohanlal's remarkable transformation to get into the shoes of the character Odiyan Manikyan for the upcoming movie Odiyan has been making headlines.
Ever since the team of Odiyan, released the official teaser of the magical realism thriller helmed by VA Shrikumar Menon, speculations were rife that the toned avatar of the actor is done with visual effects. But now, enthralling his fans, Mohanlal attended a public event in his new look and the new photos of Lalettan have been going viral online.

Mohanlal inaugurated the new showroom of MyG digital retail flagship shop in Edappally, Kochi, at 10:30 am on Saturday, December 16. He sported a blue t-shirt and jeans for the event hosted by Ranjini Haridas.
Meanwhile, before Odiyan's teaser release, a photo of the actor's toned avatar regaining "youth" had surfaced online after tireless training by medical experts and physiotherapists from France for 51 days. Fans went crazy on social media over the actor's unexpected transition, shedding almost 18 kg with many appreciating his hard work and dedication

Though there were rumours that the person seen in the viral photo could be Mohanlal's look-alike, the makers of Odiyan released the teaser video of the movie next day. His clean-shaven look impressed the audience and the nearly 2-minute clip went viral on social media with over two million views on Facebook alone.

On Friday, Mohanlal's airport looks also started doing the rounds on social media taking his fans back to the 1990s of the actor's career since he looked similar to Anandan, the character portrayed by him in Mani Ratnam's 1997 hit movie Iruvar.
