Mumbai/ New Delhi, Nov 14 (ANI): The Modi government on Friday launched a nationwide mission called Bal Swachhta Mission to mark the 125th birth anniversary of the country's first Prime Minister Jawahar Lal Nehru. The mission was launched by Women and Child Development Minister Maneka Gandhi under which a cleanliness drive would be organized in schools across the country between 14th and 19th of this month. A series of functions including lecture, debate and symposium on the occasion will also be organized across the country. Meanwhile, Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis also participated in a cleanliness drive in Mumbai on Friday. The 'Swachh Bharat Abhiyan' encourages people to sweep, remove garbage, debris and unauthorized encroachments from roads, markets and residential places.
