A Muslim teenager who had been the victim of a racist incident in a New York City subway had gone missing last Wednesday. The police said on Saturday that she has been found, but gave no more information.

Yasmin Seweid, 18, was seen last on Wednesday at 8 pm in New Hyde Park, Long Island, when she was leaving home. Her father had registered a police complaint on Thursday. The Baruch College student hasn't turned up to school since December 2.

In a Facebook post, Seweid had narrated the ordeal she went through in the subway on December 1.

"Oh look at this f–king terrorist," one man said at the 28th St. stop, according to sources. The 18-year-old said that she ignored them but they continued harassing her.

"Take that rag off your head," one man said as he grabbed her bag, according to sources. "Go back to your country. You don't belong in this country."

"Can you leave me alone," she said, according to police sources.

"No matter how 'cultured' or 'Americanized' I am, these people don't see me as an American," she wrote on Facebook. She also wrote that she was told to "go back to your country" by the men who repeatedly invoked Trump's name.

The Nassau County Police Department had opened an investigation on Thursday and located her by Saturday.

Her Facebook post had gone viral with more than 3,000 reactions to it.
