Mojang announces Xbox One Edition.Facebook

Mojang, the developer of Minecraft, has reportedly confirmed that it will release upgrades for PlayStation 3, PlayStation 4, Xbox One and it will be launched in August.

The company also apologized for the delay in the upgrade. The current players will be allowed to upgrade but for a small fee, said Mojang on its official website.

Here are some of the upgrades for PlayStation 3 + PlayStation Vita Edition:

This edition will be released via PlayStation Network in August. PlayStation Vita will now get all the features that have been included in PlayStation 3 and that includes the online play. It also said that the upgrade is free for players who have bought Minecraft: PlayStation 3 Edition PlayStation Network. Minecraft PlayStation 3 + Vita Edition will go with a price tag of $19.99. Saves are transferable on for PlayStation 3 and PlayStation Vita.

Here are some of the upgrades for PlayStation 4 Edition:

This edition will be released in August via PlayStation Network. This edition will have a bigger world than the PlayStation 3 + PlayStation Vita Edition. The PlayStation 4 Edition will cost $19.99. Any player having a PlayStation 3 Edition and bought from PlayStation Network will be able to upgrade it to $4.99. PlayStation 3 Edition or PlayStation 3 + Vita Edition saves will be able to import the worlds that they have created into PlayStation 4, however, the vice verse is not possible for technical reasons. There will not be any cross-platform play between PlayStation 3 + PlayStation Vita Edition and PlayStation 4 Edition. More details will be released as the release date gets closer.

Here are some of the upgrades for Xbox One Edition:

This edition will be released in August via Xbox Live Marketplace. This edition will have a bigger world than that is seen in Xbox 360 Edition. All the features that were found in Xbox 360 Edition will be a part of Xbox One Edition and it will cost $19.99. But for player who have Minecraft: Xbox 360 Edition via Xbox Live Marketplace, upgrade will be available for a mere $4.99. Though players will be able to import their world from Xbox 360 Edition to Xbox One, they will not be able to transfer them Xbox One Edition to Xbox 360 Edition. Also the upgrade will allow cross platform play between Xbox 360 and Xbox One.
