"The Mindy Project" will return with season 4 via Hulu on Tuesday, 15 September, picking the Mindy-Danny romance off from season 2 finale, when the latter went all the way to India, to seek the blessings of his baby mamma's parents before marrying her.

In the coming season, we will see their relationship blossom. Fans are predicting that it will be no less appealing and addictive than Jim-Pam romance from "The Office".

While many TV shows like to keep their viewers hooked on the main couple by making them pine for each other for long periods, "The Mindy Project" has decided to take a plunge in the romance department and get them as committed as possible.

Mindy (Mindy Kaling) is pregnant with Danny's (Chris Messina) baby, and is now getting ready to settle down with him. However, Mindy has not told her parents about Danny's existence, and he has now made it his mission to meet them and get their approval.

Hopefully, we will get to see Danny's journey in India, and while some fans are predicting that with this journey will begin the downfall of Danny and Mindy, we, along with many other fans are expecting this to just be a beginning of their saga.

To those who are arguing that the only fan-favourite couples are those that were tormented in separation, one enthusiastic fan, Kathie Wilson says, "It had better be (happily ever after)! It's just sloppy writing to break up a great couple. As viewers of The Office know, it is quite possible to keep interest in a couple going for a very, very long time. Even if they're together!"

Seeing as Mindy Kaling, the creator and star of "The Mindy Project", was one of the writers for "The Office, she knows the popularity of Jim (John Krasinski) and Pam (Jenna Fischer). However, others feel that Danny is not really right for Mindy.

Brooke Clinedinst Blevins: "His character doesn't seem to care for her at all. She is more of an "inconvenient convenience" for Danny. My husband and i love this show and we love hating on Danny. Mindy deserves so much better. Someone who wants to want her as much as she wants to want someone. #LoveMindy #hulu"

Chastity Abron : "The whole "Danny" storyline was a terrible turn for the show. Loved the first and second season... fell off on the third... just became a typical sitcom."

Seeing as they are having a child together, it can be safely assumed that the couple will stick together, and deal with their relationship troubles head on, much like Jim and Pam did.
