The first-look poster of Midhun Manuel Thomas' second Malayalam movie was released on the Facebook page of the director on Friday, June 24. Through the poster, the makers have also revealed the film's title.
The upcoming movie, starring Sunny, Baby Sara and Aju Varghese, has been named "Ann Maria Kalippilaanu." Sara will be seen as Ann Maria, and also stars Shine Tom Chacko, Siddhique, Saiju Kurup, Dharmajan Bolgatty, Leona Lishoy and Master Vishal in pivotal roles. The movie is being produced by Alice George under the banner of Goodwill Entertainments.
Dulquer Salmaan is also appearing in a cameo role in the movie. "So here's something fresh starring my own Sunny Wayne the super fun Aju Varghese and the very cute Sara Arjun ! Midhun Manuel is someone with some out of the box ideas and I am a part of this film in my own small way! Movies about children is something I love and this year I have a few opportunities in children's films. This being the first [sic]," Dulquer wrote while sharing the movie's poster.
"Ann Maria Kalippilaanu" is the first movie of Sunny this year and it marks the acting debut of the child artiste in Malayalam. Sara, who was well accepted by the audience for her performances in the films "Deiva Thirumagal" and "Saivam," was also seen playing a pivotal role in the recently released Aishwarya Rai Bacchan-starrer Bollywood movie "Jazbaa."
Director Midhun made his career as a filmmaker with his debut Jayasurya-starrer "Aadu Oru Bheekara Jeeviyaanu" in 2015. Even though the movie failed to get good response from critics and audience during its initial days at the theatres, the comedy entertainer was well accepted by the audience after its DVD was released. With the tremendous response received from the movie-goers, especially youngsters, the makers have also planned to come up with a sequel shortly. The film's producers, Vijay Babu and Sandra Thomas, had earlier confirmed that "Aadu" will have its second part in the coming years on popular audience demand.
