Jennifer Lawrence had a near-death experience when both the engines of her private jet failed when it was travelling 31,000-feet above sea level. The pilots managed to land safely in Buffalo, New York.

The Hunger Games actress or none of the crew members were injured. However, this has taken a toll on Lawrence. The incident took place on Saturday, June 10.

According to E! News, Lawrence was visiting family in Louisville.

While the news broke out about a plane performing an emergency landing, it wasn't until Sunday that it was revealed that Lawrence was on board. Since the news broke out, there has been no official word from her side on the incident.

However, sources close the actress told Hollywood Life that the incident has left her scarred. "Jennifer was beyond terrified," the source was quoted as saying.

"Somehow she managed to keep relatively cool and calm. She seriously thought she was going to die at one point, and couldn't believe that the pilots managed to land the plane without any damage," the story shares.

The actress, however, will not refuse fear overtake her. "She's definitely shaken up by the ordeal but it hasn't put her off flying again in the future," the source continues. "She's aware that travelling on the road is still more potentially dangerous than flying."

Set aside her mid-air scare, Hollywood Life reveals that the actress had a fun time with her family. The Silver Linings Playbook actress is yet to address the mid-air scare personally, but fans respect her privacy and are not spreading unnecessary rumours about Lawrence.

The actress will soon be seen in a movie title Mother, releasing over the Halloween weekend. The poster was released last month. She is currently dating director Darren Aronofsky.
