Microsoft already has a wide range of Lumia smartphones covering almost all price points. The recent release of the flagship Lumia 950 series and the affordable Lumia 550 has got a lot of attention and the company has no plans to rest. Fresh rumours are pointing towards a new device, Lumia 650, which was reportedly cancelled after the release of Lumia 750 and Lumia 850 earlier this year.

An exclusive report by Windows Central shared a series of official-looking renders of the Lumia 650 along with key specifications. By the looks of it, the Lumia 650 will target the premium smartphone range with an affordable price tag. Considering the leaked images are real, new design elements in the Lumia 650 add a professional aesthetic look that is aimed at attracting a lot of business users.

The leaked images were sourced from renowned concept gadget designer, @ProductDsigner, through an exclusive partnership. Like the other concept images shared by Product Designer, Lumia 650 renders are beautiful.

Microsoft Lumia 650 is expected to feature a classy look with metal band, matte finish rear cover, and a simple yet elegant design. The volume rocker buttons and the power/lock button appears on the right side of the device and there are no physical buttons on the actual display. Lumia 650 will be powered by Windows 10, adding a new member to the fast-growing lineup.

Microsoft's branding will appear at the top of the display, just below the speaker, sensor and the front camera. At the extreme bottom, there is a microphone and a speaker appears on the opposite side. Windows 10 logo appears at the center of the rear panel and the usual camera sensor with LED flash takes the top spot. The headphone jack will be available at the top while a microUSB slot is seen at the bottom of the handset.

Lumia 650 is expected to be available in matte black and matte white colours. Windows Central suggests the handset will feature a 5-inch 720p display, a new Snapdragon 212 processor, 1GB RAM, 8GB expandable memory, 8MP primary camera with LED flash and a 5MP front snapper. Other notable features include Qualcomm's Quick Charge 2.0, dual SIM support, NFC, Bluetooth and Wi-Fi.

As for the handset's release, WC is expecting an official announcement to be made somewhere around MWC 2016 event in Barcelona in February. Until then, it's best not to pin high hopes on the Lumia 650's ongoing rumours.
