Micromax's subsidiary Yu Televentures is all geared up for the sixth edition of the Yureka flash sale in India on 19 February.

The company's official e-commerce affiliate, Amazon India, will host the Yu Yureka flash sale on Thursday at 2:00 pm. However, the company is yet to announce how many units will be available for the sale.

In a related development, Amazon India conducted a special "Golden Ticket Sale" contest on 18 February, between 2:00 pm and 5:00pm. During this, Yu Yureka was made available to select users - who could not get their hands on the elusive Micromax phone despite participating in all the five previous flash sales.

However, only a few consumers will be able to buy the device. The lucky ones will be notified via email on 18 February itself; they will need to complete the transaction within 15 minutes or else the device will be passed on to the next eligible buyer.

The company had conducted a similar sale last month too. It was in response to a flawed flash sale on 22 January. There were some technical glitches that resulted in over-pricing of Yu Yureka to ₹12,499, which is ₹3,500 extra on MRP ₹8,999. In another instance, some registered users were unable to buy the phone as their mode of payment got declined.

That being said, Amazon India and Yu should be appreciated for arranging these surprise sales which in turn help the companies to build loyalty among consumers.
