Micromax has finally kicked off the YU Yureka open sale via Amazon India.

Though a bit late, this move by YU will certainly cheer the tech-savvy Yureka fans. Many have failed to get their hands on the Yureka despite it being on sale for three months, thanks to the dubious marketing strategy of flash sales.

But prospective buyers can now grab Micromax YU Yureka, for the first time since its release in January 2015, without going through the cumbersome registration process. Prospective buyers can now bag the phone just by logging in anytime during the 48-hour window between 6 and 7 May.

Micromax YU Yureka sports 5.5-inch HD screen and is powered by the on 64-bit class Snapdragon 615 Octa-core SoC (System on Chip), 2GB RAM, 16GB inbuilt memory, 13mp camera on the rear side, a 5mp snapper on the front, and a 2500 mAh (Lithium-Polymer) battery that can run the phone for close to 210 hours under standby mode.

In a related development, YU is prepping the stage for its new smartphone Yuphoria, which is expected to launch on 12 May. Numerous reports have indicated that the new phone will be marketed around same price like chinese rival Xiaomi Redmi 2.
