The competition in the smartphone space is getting tougher and manufacturers are doing everything to stay on top. Micromax launched its Yu Yuphoria with hopes of fighting its way to the top in its home market in India. But rivals like Lenovo, Xiaomi, Huawei, and others are posing a great threat. In our product review of Huawei's Honor 4C, we found the handset performs extremely well as compared to Yu Yureka and Lenovo A7000. As Micromax launched the Yu Yuphoria, it needs to be seen if the Yureka successor will steal the limelight from one of its biggest rivals. To answer this, we put together Yu Yuphoria in direct comparison with Huawei Honor 4C to get a better perspective.
Micromax launched the much-awaited Yu Yuphoria in India today, while the Honor 4C was also released recently. Both new handsets offer great value in terms of specs and price. If you are on the fence about which smartphone is better, a quick comparison of all specs and features should ease your decision.
Huawei Honor 4C and Yu Yuphoria have similar display size, measuring 5 inches diagonally. The Honor 4C sports 1280 x 720 pixels with 294ppi. Micromax offers similar pixel density and screen resolution so buyers have less to worry about in this department.
Both phones have different processors. The Honor 4C is powered by a 64-bit class proprietary Hisilicon Kirin 620 series Octa-core processor, while Micromax chose 64-bit quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 410 SoC clocking speeds at 1.2GHz.
RAM and Storage
Micromax wins in the storage department with its 16GB internal memory, while Honor 4C offers just 8GB. But both phones stand side-by-side with their 2GB RAM to support respective processors.
If you are a photo enthusiast, the choice is clear as Huawei bags a 13MP Sony BSI sensor as the primary camera with f/2.0 aperture and LED flash. As for Micromax Yu Yuphoria, the camera offers just 8MP with f/2.2 aperture despite its large module. On the front side, both phones offer 5MP snappers for selfies and video calling.
Huawei wins again with its 2,550 mAh battery that promises up to 15 hours talk time, while Yu Yuphoria offers a 2,230mAh unit. For your long talks, Honor 4C is a better option.
Effective pricing is the key to success so Micromax played smart while pricing its Yu Yuphoria. At an affordable price range of ₹6,999, the Yu Yuphoria will be up for grabs exclusively via Amazon.in. Huawei, on the other hand, lists its Honor 4C for ₹8,999.
If you are low on budget and willing to sacrifice a few specs here and there, Yu Yuphoria can be your first choice. But if you are betting on a great camera and battery, opting for Honor 4C is the wise decision.
