India's leading handset maker Micromax has rolled out another surprise on Valentine's day. Along with the launch of the much-anticipated A116 Canvas HD smartphone, the company unveiled its Bolt A35, the first handset in the Bolt series, for ₹ 4,250.

Micromax, with its plans to expand the Bolt series with several new feature phones, introduced the Bolt A35 with an outstanding new Flash Transfer feature. The Flash Transfer will facilitate easier and quicker sharing of videos. Users can also share content like apps, games, photos, videos, songs and any other multimedia content with just a swipe. The content can be shared by shaking the phone with other Android devices. The feature works on WiFi and makes Bolt A35 a hotspot for file sharing without any connectivity.

The Bolt A35 smartphone boasts a full-capacitive 4-inch touch screen and is powered by a 1GHz processor. It come pre-loaded with Android 2.3.5 Gingerbread operating system and sports a 2.0-megapixel rear camera with a 0.3-megapixel camera on the front. The handset comes with an expandable memory up to 16GB and packs a 1500 mAh battery which is expected give 4.5 hours of talk time. Besides WiFi, it also has connectivity support through Bluetooth 2.1.

For an entry-level smartphone, Bolt A35 packs enough features to make it stand out among other budget-priced devices. Users willing to stretch their wallet for a higher specification smartphone can opt for Micromax's A116 Canvas HD which is priced ₹13,990. The device sports a 5-inch HD IPS screen with 1280x720 pixel resolution that's backed by the efficient MediaTek MT6589 1.2 GHz quad core processor.

The company has partnered with e-commerce website Snapdeal to sell its A116 Canvas HD. Owing to its rising popularity, Snapdeal reportedly ran out of A116 Canvas HD stock within 30 minutes since its online debut, GSM Arena reported. The phone is currently available through the company website and will be delivered within 5-7 business days upon order.
