Home bred smartphone maker Micromax has launched a new handset dubbed as Canvas Nitro 4G in India on Friday.

Earlier this week, Mumbai-based Mahesh Telecom had posted the new Canvas Nitro 4G retail package, hinting the Micromax device would hit Indian stores soon. But there were some discrepancies over the type of SoC (System on Chip) used in the phone. The retail package had listed 1.4GHz Snapdragon 400 Octa-core processor, but we had expressed doubts over the listing and had suggested it would be Snapdragon 415 Series CPU. With the official announcement, our prediction has come true.
