Popular indigenous handset maker, Micromax has reportedly launched the company's first Octa-core smartphone Canvas Knight A350 in Russia.

Technology website, PC Magazine has confirmed that the Micromax Canvas Knight A350 has been unveiled in Moscow. The new phone sports a 5.0-inch full HD (1920x1080p) display and flaunts metal chassis around the edges having thickness of 7.3 mm. Earlier this month, rival Intex Technologies overtook Micromax by unveiling India's first Octa-core smartphone Aqua Octa. It flaunts a monster 6.0-inch HD display and runs on the Android v4.2.2 Jelly Bean powered by a MediaTek's Octa-core chipset with 1.7GHz speed.[ It is available at online store Snapdeal for ₹19,999.]

Since the company's rival Intex has already launched an eight-core phablet Aqua Octa in India, Micromax would not like to wait long. Rumour has it that the phone might make its debut by January end.
