Popular indigenous smartphone maker Micromax has reportedly released mid-range handset Canvas HD Plus A190 in India, via online stores.
The new Canvas device flaunts a 5.0-inch HD screen with Gorilla Glass shield and ships with the Android v4.4.2 KitKat out-of-the-box. The main USP of the Micromax phone is that it houses a hexa-core processor with top CPU speed up to 1.5GHz; it is also backed by sumptuous 1GB RAM, 8GB inbuilt memory (expandable up to 32GB) and a 2000 mAh battery, which can run the phone for up to 7 hours of talk time and close to 250 hours under standby mode.
Other stipulated features include a 8.0-megapixel camera (auto-focus, LED flash, 4X zoom, full HD video recording), a 2.0-megapixel camera on the front for video chatting, 3G network support, dual-SIM slots, Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, GPS and standard connectivity features.
As of now, Micromax Canvas HD Plus A190 is currently retailing at Infibeam for ₹13,500. It will be up against Karbonn Titanium Hexa, Xolo Play 6X-1000, the popular Motorola Moto G and the recently launched feature-rich metal-clad smartphone Xiaomi Mi3, which fall around the ₹15,000 range.
Earlier in the week, Micromax also released a budget phone, dubbed as Canvas Fire A093 for ₹6,999. It sports 4.0-inch WVGA (800x480p) TFT screen and ships with Android v4.4.2 KitKat OS, 1.3GHz quad-core processor, 512MB RAM, 4GB (expandable up to 32GB) and is powered by a 1750 mAh battery.
