Micromax Canvas 4 is the next most anticipated smartphone launch in India. According to latest reports, Canvas 4 is is likely to come with a price tag of ₹15,990.

Technology website BGR reported that the smartphone is now up for pre-orders in the country. Citing a tipster, the website also revealed the full specifications of the soon-to-be launched Canvas 4 handset.

Rumours about the next generation Canvas smartphone have gained traction with its debut event just around the corner. Regarding its specifications, Canvas 4, is expected to sport a 5.5-inch 1080p display powered by a 2GHz quad-core Cortex A7 processor along with PowerVR Series 5XT graphics. It is also speculated to pack 2GB of RAM and 8GB of internal storage which can be further expanded through the microSD card slot.

On the connectivity front, the device may arrived with dual-SIM card slots, 3G, NFC, Bluetooth 4.0, Wi-Fi, and USB 2.0 ports. It is also expected to host a 13-megapixel rear camera with dual-LED flash, a 3.2-megapixel front-facing camera, 3,000mAh battery and the ubiquitous Android 4.1.2 Jelly Bean operating system. The other add-on features of the image snapper would be autofocus, face and smile detection and image stabilization. 

An alleged image of the smartphone, which emerged on Sunday, suggested that the front part of the handset would come with a polycarbonate plastic and the back in aluminium. The Canvas 4 which has already made its appearance on retailer website Saholic will reportedly be available for pre-orders from 28 June. The image which showed the phone in white shared similarities with the design language of Samsung Galaxy S 4. The phone is expected to come in black and white variants.
