Chinese technology firm Huawei, which is steadily making strides in the global smart device business, launched an affordable big-screen Ascend G510 smartphone into the lucrative Indian market just a few days ago.

Despite the device's low-cost price tag and pretty descent features, it will still be a daunting task for the Chinese smartphone to challenge India's current sensation Micromax A116 Canvas HD. But, it will be interesting to see if Ascend G510 will be able to match Micromax's second most popular big-screen smartphone A110 Canvas.

Here is a brief comparison of Micromax A110 Canvas 2 and Huawei Ascend G510:

Display:

Micromax A110 Canvas 2 sports a 5.0-inch TFT LCD IPS display with 480x854p resolution and pixel count of close to 196 pixels per inch. On the other hand, Ascend G510 sports a 4.5-inch TFT LCD WVGA display with a similar 480x854p resolution having higher pixel density of 218 ppi thanks to its smaller screen size.

Processor:

In terms of power, Huawei smartphone packs a dual-core Qualcomm Cortex A5 processor with 1.2GHz clock speed, whereas A110 Canvas 2 concedes some points for its slower 1GHz MediaTek dual-core processor.

Camera:

A110 canvas 2 packs 8.0-megapixel main camera with auto-focus and flash support and a 0.3-megapixel VGA front camera. Ascend G510 too houses an impressive 8.0-megapixel main camera with auto-focus and flash support, and a 0.3-megapixel VGA secondary camera on the front.

Mobile Operating System:

In terms of mobile OS, they both stand even in this department as Ascend G510 and A110 Canvas 2 run on Android OS. The only difference is that the Huawei smartphone runs on the latest v4.1 Jelly Bean, whereas Micromax's device runs on an older OS version Ice Cream Sandwich.

Memory and RAM:

Both Micromax and Huawei smartphones have an in-built capacity of 4GB internal memory with options of expanding up to 32GB via microSD card. But the Ascend G510 still holds the upper hand with its 1GB RAM as against Canvas 2's 512MB RAM.

Price:

According to latest reports, Micromax A110 Canvas 2 currently sells for ₹10,299 whereas Huawei Ascend G510 smartphone is priced ₹ 9,999, only ₹300 less than its competitor.
