After days of teasing, Moto India on Wednesday confirmed that the mystery device in the teasers is indeed the new Moto M series phone and will be released in India soon.
"A phone that is Majestically metal, a phone that reflects who you are. #MotoM Coming soon-," Moto India said with a 17-seconds video clip on Twitter. However, the launch date and price details of the mid-range phone are still under wraps. Going by the company's recent past, Moto M is expected to be made available exclusively either on Flipkart or Amazon India and later at brick-and-mortar retail stores.
For those unaware, Moto M was originally unveiled in China just a few weeks back. It boasts splash-resistant metal cover on the back and 5.5-inch super AMOLED display in the front.
Under-the-hood, it comes packed with MediaTek Helio P15 octa-core CPU backed by Android Marshmallow OS and a 3,050mAh battery with fast charging technology.
Moto M also boasts 16MP primary camera on the back with PDAF (Phase Detection Auto Focus) and LED flash and in the front, it houses 8MP snapper with ¼-inch sensor.
However, it is yet to be ascertained what type of memory configuration Moto intends to launch in India. In China, it comes in two versions -- 3GB+ 32GB storage and 4GB RAM + 64GB storage -- with prices starting at ¥1999 (around $290/€274/Rs. 19,922).
