German luxury carmaker Mercedes-Benz is expected to launch its GLC SUV in India in June and ahead of its possible launch, and the good news is that the company has started dispatching the models to its respective dealers.

A fresh batch of spy shots of Mercedes-Benz GLC has surfaced online, which were believed to have been taken at a dealership, indicating that the launch of the model is not far off. Caught on camera by MotorOctane, the GLC in its latest images is seen without any hint of camouflage. Mercedes-Benz GLC made its global debut in June last year and was showcased at the Auto Expo 2016 February.

Expected to be powered by a 2.1-litre four-cylinder diesel engine mated to a nine-speed 9G-TRONIC automatic transmission and 4MATIC all-wheel drive system, the GLC is likely to get a price tag of about Rs. 45 lakh (ex-showroom). The Mercedes-Benz GLC will rival BMW X3 and Audi Q5 in India.

In terms of dimensions, the GLC measures 4,656mm in length, 1,644mm in height, 2,096mm in width and has a wheelbase of 2,874mm. As for features, the SUV inspired by the S-Class, is expected to come with COMAND infotainment leather upholstery and a 3-spoke steering wheel.

The GLC SUV is said to be one of the 12 models to be launched in India by Mercedes-Benz this year. Meanwhile, Mercedes-Benz will launch its flagship SUV, the GLS, on May 18 in India. It is expected to come with 3.0-litre V6 turbo engine that develops 255bhp and 616Nm of torque. This engine will be mated to nine-speed automatic transmission instead of seven-speed automatic gearbox.
