After launching its GLA-Class SUV in India recently, Mercedes-Benz India is set to bring the performance oriented version - GLA 45 AMG - to the country on 27 October.
Powered by the same 2.0-litre, 4-cylinder, direct-injection petrol engine of Mercedes CLA 45 AMG, the soon to be -launched GLA 45 AMG is tuned to churn out a massive power of 355bhp and a peak torque of 450Nm. The engine will come mated to an AMG SpeedShift DCT 7-speed sports transmission and offers modes 'M' - Manual, 'S' – Sports and 'C' – Controlled Efficiency modes.
In India, the vehicle will be available in all-wheel drive variant and will sport changes both inside and outside from its regular variant. The GLA 45 AMG will sport a new front grille, quad exhaust, rear diffuser, alloy wheels, red callipers and different bumpers from its regular variant.
Inside the cabin, the GLA 45 AMG will pack changes like bottomed steering wheel, red seatbelts and contrast stitching on the dashboard.
We do not know yet the exact pricing of Mercedes-Benz GLA 45 AMG India, but reports suggest that the car will fall in the price brackets of ₹70 lakh.
Mercedes-Benz GLA-Class, which made its India debut in September is powered by two litre petrol engine and 2.2 litre diesel motor. The 2 litre petrol engine produces 135kW@ 5500 rpm with a peak torque of 300Nm @ 1,200-1,400 rpm and the car can attain 0-100 kmph in 7.6 seconds with a top speed of 225 kmph.
On the other hand, the 2.2 litre diesel engine produces a maximum output of 100kW@ 3,600–4,400 rpm with a torque of 300Nm@ 1,600-3,000 rpm and it can accelerate from 0-100 kmph in 9.9 seconds with a top speed of 205 kmph.
The GLA-Class 200 CDI Style has been priced at ₹32.75 lakh, while the 200 Sport and 200 CDI Sport get a price tag of ₹36 lakh and ₹36.9 lakh respectively (ex-showroom Delhi).
