Gandhinagar, Jan 07 (ANI): MEA Spokesperson Syed Akbaruddin on Wednesday announced the series of events to take place at the 2015 Pravasi Bhartiya Divas, the youth part of which commenced today amidst tight security in Gandhinagar. The event marks the centenary of the return to India of Mahatma Gandhi from South Africa. He also said that among other events a stamp and coin will be inaugurated at the function featuring images of Mahatma Gandhi as a bachelor and as Father of the Nation. Akbaruddin also informed that Foreign Minister Sushma Swaraj met with her South African counterpart Maite Nkoana-Mashabane today and discussed wide range of issues. The three day event is the world's largest annual gathering of people of Indian origin aimed at enhancing networking and reinforcing commercial linkages.
