New Delhi, August 19 (ANI): Boxing superstar Mary Kom, whose life has been portrayed on the silver screen a biopic of the same name, is struggling for the film_s release in her home state. In 2000, Revolutionary Peoples Front issued a ban on the screening of Hindi films and TV shows in Manipur. They conducted raids and attacked cinema halls showing Hindi films.They have been fighting for a separate independent socialist state of Manipur. The five time boxing champion is now in talks with the government for the release of the film in Manipur.
