Marvel's "Agent Carter" is all set to return with its second season on 19 January, 2016. Carter has undergone a lot of change since viewers last saw her.

In the upcoming episode, titled "The Lady in the Lake", Peggy Carter (Hayley Atwell) has shifted to California so she can continue her work as a special agent to handle cases that seemingly are unearthly.

Carter Matt has mentioned that the second season will showcase the adventures of Agent Carter as she explores mysterious cases in Los Angeles under the orders of Jack Thompson (Chad Michael Murray), the SSR chief of the East Coast Division.

However, in the west coast, Carter will be working under SSR chief Daniel Sousa (Enver Gjokaj), and her first assignment will be about a murder with a mysterious twist.

A stranger is murdered in LA, which prompts SSR to send Carter there for investigation as the corpse is glowing and seemingly emitting cold.

Now, Carter needs to utilise any available sources to figure out exactly what is causing the body to radiate light and why it is freezing. Lucky for her, there will be several familiar faces to assist her on this new mission.

Carter will rendezvous with Edwin Jarvis (James D'Arcy) in Hollywood and he will accompany her in all the missions, as he did in the first season.

Jarvis is Howard Stark's (Domin Cooper) butler, and had been ordered by Stark to keep an eye on Carter in the first season. Since then, Jarvis has always been with Carter and assisting her whenever possible.

However, fans will be disappointed to know Jarvis is already married, so there is no possibility of a romantic relationship between Carter and Jarvis. Jarvis' wife, played by Lotte Verbeek, will make an appearance in the upcoming season.

Verbeek will portray the character of Anna, who will befriend Carter and the two will become best of friends.

Marvel's "Agent Carter" Season 2 is all set to premiere on 19 January on ABC.
