A fresh batch of spy shots of Mauti Suzuki's upcoming premium hatchback codenamed YRA has emerged online, ahead of the car's expected launch in the country during the festive season this year.

Folks at Motoroids spotted a couple of Maruti YRA hatchback in Shimla where the test mules were undergoing test rounds in the country. Although it is not sure if they were two variants of YRA, the original publisher claims the prototypes in the pictures are entry and top end variants of the new hatchback.

In the latest pictures, Maruti YRA is seen with less camouflage. However, there is nothing much one can make out from the images as it is seen carefully hiding much of the details of the car from the eagle-eyed spy photographers.

From what we know, the engine line-up of Maruti YRA will include 1.25-liter (1,242 cc) petrol engine, K10C Boosterjet motor, 1.4 K-Series petrol motor and tried and tested 1.3-litre DDiS diesel motor.

We also hear that Maruti YRA will also get a CVT (continuously variable transmission) gearbox options.

The new YRA hatchback, which will compete with the likes of Honda Jazz and Hyundai Elite i20, is expected to get features such as steering wheel with buttons for audio and cruise control, touchscreen infotainment system, climate control, airbag deactivation button, heated front seats and central armrest in the front.

The model is expected to be sold through Nexa, Maruti's chain of new premium showrooms.
