Maruti Suzuki, the country's largest car maker is wasting no time in its attempt to cement its position in the domestic market. The carmaker, which rolled out a new edition of its popular hatchback Swift just a day ago, has already started shipping the model to dealerships across the country.
A member of AutoMotive India forum has managed to take fresh images of new Swift Windsong Edition at dealerships in the country, indicating that the delivery of the limited edition model will commence soon. The Swift Windsong Edition, a music-inspired model is already open for booking in the country.
Available in two trims -- VXi and VDi -- the new Swift packs the same 1.3 litre multijet engine and 1.2 litre K-Series petrol engine under the hood. The engines come mated to a 5-speed manual gearbox and tuned to offer a fuel efficiency of 25.2kmpl for diesel and 20.4 kmpl for petrol.
Speaking of the styling and design of the Swift Windsong, the car gets music-themed graphics and decals on its body and comes in Pearl white colour. Feature list of the Swift Windsong Edition include new dual-toned upholstery (black and yellow), new steering wheel cover, ambient lighting, illuminated sill guards, Swift badged floor mats, Sony touchscreen music system that has Bluetooth, CD, DVD and USB functions and reversing camera.
The special edition of Swift is be available only in limited numbers and has been priced in the range of ₹5.14 lakh - ₹6.1 lakh (ex-showroom, New Delhi)
