With the festive season just around the corner, car makers in India are gearing up for the launch of new models to boost domestic sales. Maruti Suzuki, the country's largest car maker, is set to rock the festive season with the addition of a new edition of its popular car Swift in its product line-up.

The Facebook and Twitter accounts of Maruti Suzuki teased a new image hinting that the company is gearing up for a launch in the next three days. Although as of now, it is not clear what the model could be, it looks like a new edition of Swift could be joining the festive season launch bandwagon on 6 October (Tuesday).

Meanwhile, folks at GaadiWaadi have released probably the first set images of a limited edition of Swift dubbed Swift Glory. Going by the leaked images, the Maruti Swift Glory, the limited edition of Swift, packs a slew of changes both inside and outside. To be offered in VXi and VDi variants of Swift, the new avatar of Maruti hatchback gets sports themed body graphics, red roof and wing mirrors, side decals, side skirting, a rear spoiler and racing stripes.

Mechanically, the new edition Swift Glory is likely to remain the same as the current models in the market with 1.2-liter K-Series petrol and the 1.3-liter DDiS diesel mills.

Inside the cabin, the Swift Glory will house dual-tone red-and-black seat upholstery, Bluetooth-enabled music system, new floor mats, reverse parking assist with a rear-view camera and steering wheel and gear cover.

Although the prices are not known yet, rumours have it that the new Swift Glory petrol will be priced at a premium of Rs 15,000 to the current variant.
