Maruti Suzuki sells AMT in petrol models of Alto K10 and Celerio, while Swift Dzire AMT is coupled with diesel powertrain. Considering popularity of Swift diesel models, AMT is expected with diesel model. The Swift diesel unit develops 74bhp and 200Nm.

Ahead of Swift AMT, Maruti Suzuki will launch limited edition version that is expected this month itself. The company on its twitter handle commenced a contest that seeks the name for the upcoming limited edition model.
