Maruti Suzuki launched S-Cross crossover as the first product via Nexa premium showrooms in August. The S-Cross came with full black interior, adding sportiness and premium feel inside.

The pictures taken at a dealership shows the S-Cross interior in dual tone finish. The dashboard is finished with beige and brown, while the beige leather wrapped steering wheel also gets wooden inserts. The wooden touch can also be seen around the centre console and door pads. Other standout features over the regular model are the new floor mats, diamond quilted leather seats, leather-wrapped gear and handbrake lever. The special interior is commissioned by the respective dealers, reports IndianAutosBlog.

S-Cross was launched at a price ranging from Rs 8.34 lakh to Rs 13.74 lakh with the option of two diesel engines. The 1.3-litre diesel motor churns out 89bhp power and 200Nm torque, and 1.6-litre diesel that is tuned to pump out 118bhp and 320Nm. The former engine is mated to a 5-speed manual gearbox, while the latter gets six-speed manual transmission.

Maruti Suzuki had a healthy sales record for S-Cross in the launch month with 4,602 units sold. The crossover also reached fourth place in the list of best-selling passenger vehicles in August behind Hyundai Creta, Honda Jazz and Ford Figo Aspire. However, after the initial excitement, the S-Cross sales is not going in an upward direction. Within months after the launch, the dealerships offered discounts up to 1 lakh in September and now Delhi are offering a discount up to Rs 2,90,000 on the mid level Delta trim of the S-Cross DDiS 320.
