A test mule of Maruti's upcoming S-Cross has been spied undergoing testing in the country once again.

Still seen with considerable amount of cladding, the latest test mule of Maruti S-Cross is caught on camera by a member named GM88 of The Automotive India. Maruti's hot SX4 S-Cross is likely to receive 1.6-litre diesel engine which can churn out a power of 118 bhp with a peak torque of 32 kgm and is expected to come coupled to six-speed manual gearbox.

The car, which was first seen at the Delhi Auto Expo 2014 was snapped earlier in India while on test. The S-Cross is already on sale in international markets like Europe and is likely to incorporate the same features in India bound machine too. We don't know yet for sure, but the word is that the car will house LED daytime-running lights, 16-inch alloy wheels, scuff plates and black cladding when it comes to India.

In the international market, S-Cross is offered with Suzuki's 'Allgrip' all-wheel-drive system. Although there is no telling if the same could make it to the Indian market, the auto enthusiasts in the country do not rule out the chances of that.

Judging from the latest images and reports so far, Ford EcoSport would be the main rival of S-Cross in India and the company is likely to price its new offering in the ₹13 lakh brackets. Expected to reach Indian shore by next year, Maruti S-Cross would be viewed as fortune changer of the company in the big car segment.

Beside S-Cross, Maruti is expected to launch Ciaz and Swift facelift in the country in the coming months. The Ciaz, which has been rumoured for quite some time now is finally reaching the domestic market by the end of this year. First seen at the Delhi Auto Expo 2014, the vehicle is based on the Suzuki Authentics concept car and is likely to come with 1.3 liter Multijet diesel or 1.4 liter K Series petrol engine of Ertiga. The car will be pitted against Hyundai Verna, Honda City and Volkswagen Vento in the sub-continent and is expected to fall in the price brackets of ₹7.2 lakh to ₹10.5 lakh.
