Maruti Suzuki has detailed the products which will be on display at its stall in the upcoming Auto Expo 2016 scheduled to begin on 3 February (media day) at Greater Noida. The largest car manufacturer of India will showcase the Vitara Brezza compact SUV, Ignis, Baleno RS concept with 1.0-litre boosterjet engine apart from the regular models.

Vitara Brezza

Maruti Suzuki Vitara Brezza's global unveiling will take place on 3 February. The SUV with the code name YBA, which was caught testing many times last year, will be a sub 4-metre SUV. The Vitara name is familiar in India as the manufacturer sold a premium SUV named Grand Vitara earlier. Brezza is Italian for fresh breeze. Maruti Suzuki confirms the Vitara Brezza in flesh will be true to its SUV badge with bold, sporty and masculine design. A grille similar to the bigger Vitara has been teased by the company along with the statement. Additionally, it will feature 16-inch alloy wheels. The Vitara Brezza has been designed and engineered by an in house team led by the Chief Engineer CV Raman.

Ignis

Unveiled at the 44th Tokyo Motor Show, Suzuki Ignis, a hatchback with SUV stance, will have its India unveiling on 4 February. Maruti Ignis is expected to be sold through the company's new premium dealership chain Nexa in India. Maruti Suzuki Ignis, which is expected to come to the Indian market with 95% localisation, is likely to get a price tag between Rs 4.8 lakh and Rs 6.8 lakh. Under the bonnet, Ignis is likely to get a new 1.2 litre three cylinder diesel mill, which is expected to churn out about 100bhp of power. The engine is reportedly based on Maruti's 3-cylinder 800cc engine that does duty in the Celerio diesel of the company.

Concept Baleno RS

The Concept Baleno RS is a sporty version of Baleno hatchback exterior add-ons such as a body kit, side skirts, larger alloy wheels in dark theme and sporty rear bumper. The Baleno RS will be powered by the 1.0-litre Boosterjet turbo petrol engine that uses reduced displacement without compromising on power. The regular Baleno with this engine recently caught testing in Kochi.
