Maruti Suzuki Ignis is expected to come to the Nexa floors during this festive season. The Ignis, a small crossover from the country's largest car-maker, has been undergoing testing in India for quite some time, and has been caught on camera on several occasions already.

Here is a fresh batch of spy shots, showing the road presence of the model. Shared by Rushlane, the latest spy shots also show the test mule of the Ignis with considerable degree of camouflage.

The Ignis will be the third model to go on sale through the company's premium dealership, Nexa. Currently, Nexa has two models on its floors — the S-Cross premium crossover and the Baleno premium hatchback. Maruti Ignis was previewed at the Auto Expo 2016 along with the Boosterjet engine version of the Baleno — the Baleno RS. Maruti is also expected to launch the new avatar of the Baleno in India during the festive season.

In terms of dimensions, the Ignis measures 3,700mm in length, 1,660mm in width, and 1,595mm in height. The vehicle comes with a wheelbase of 2,435mm and has a ground clearance of 180mm. Under the bonnet of the Ignis is likely to be a 1.2-litre VTVT petrol engine and a 1.3-litre MultiJet diesel unit.

In India, the Ignis will rival Mahindra KUV100. According to reports, Tata is also readying a mini-SUV codenamed X451, which would be pitted against the Ignis. As for features, expect the Ignis to come with projector headlights, outside rear-view mirrors with turn indicators, 18-inch alloy wheels, a rear-mounted spoiler and LED headlights. On the safety front, the Ignis is expected to get Anti-lock Braking System (ABS) with Electronic Brake Distribution (EBD), and airbags.
