Maruti Suzuki Baleno, the premium hatchback from the country's largest car-maker, has been receiving good response from auto-lovers in the country, and the waiting period for the car has now reached up to three months depending upon the city.

We rang up Nexa dealers in top cities to check the waiting period for the Baleno, and got to know that the premium hatchback currently has a waiting period of up to three months. While in a city like Bengaluru the waiting period is two and a half months, in Delhi and Mumbai buyers can get the car within two months. In Chennai, Maruti Baleno has a waiting period of up to three months, depending on the variants. The scenario is the same in Kochi.

Launched in October this year, Maruti Baleno, the second car to be sold through the new Nexa premium dealership chain, has received 21,000 bookings within two weeks of its launch. Baleno, the Hyundai Elite i20 and Honda Jazz rival is offered in four trims and seven body shades: Granite grey, Solid fire red, Premium urban blue, Autumn orange, Metallic premium silver, Pearl arctic white and Ray blue.

Under the hood, Maruti Baleno includes a 1.2-litre K-Series petrol engine and a 1.3-litre DDiS diesel engine. While the petrol engine is tuned to develop 83bhp and 115Nm of torque, the diesel mill churns out 74bhp and 190Nm of torque.
