We have seen a number of prototypes for Maruti Suzuki Alto K10 Facelift for the past couple of months and now here it is again seen at Maruti's Manesar plant in Gurgaon in a completely undisguised avatar, hinting an imminent launch in the country.

It is no secret that Maruti, India's largest car maker is prepping a new facelifted model of its best selling Alto K10. The car, which was caught on camera previously too, has been rumoured for 2015 launch.

Contrary to previous reports about the launch, the folks at Gaadi Waadi now report that the car maker will break the cover of its Alto K10 facelift in the country on 21 October. However, Maruti is yet to confirm the launch date.

Expected to be offered in a total of six trims - four variants with 5-speed manual transmission LX, LXi, VXi & Vxi (o) and two with AMT LXi & VXi, the new Alto K10 facelift is likely to get 998cc three pot motor of Maruti Celerio, which can churn out 68ps of max power and 90nm of torque.

Alto K10 facelift, the second model of Maruti with Automated Manual Transmission (AMT) is expected to borrow design cues from Maruti Alto 800 and the car is likely to pack changes both inside and outside.

From what heard so far, the facelifted Alto K10 will get stylish swept-back headlamps, new engine grille with chrome outline, re-worked front bumper and the new rounded bonnet. Previous reports have suggested that the Vxi, the top-end variant of new Alto k10 facelift will get features like body-coloured ORVM's, wheel caps, door protection mouldings, central locking, front power windows and rear parcel tray.

Once it hits the market, the Alto K10 facelift will be pinned to rival Hyundai Eon and Datsun Go in India.
