Maruti's upcoming YBA compact SUV has been spied undergoing testing once again ahead of its launch, giving us yet another look at the car.

The auto enthusiasts in the country have already seen numerous spy shots of YBA SUV and the latest camouflaged test mule was caught on camera by the spy photographers of Gaadiwaadi. From the new spy shots, there is nothing much one can pull out, however, the repeated sighting of the vehicle on Indian roads tell us that the work of SUV is progressing at a rapid pace.

Maruti YBA SUV, a model, which is likely to resemble XA Alpha concept, which was seen at the Auto Expo in 2012 and Suzuki iV-4 concept SUV is expected to make its India entry in the first quarter of 2016.

Though the key details of the Maruti's upcoming SUV remain under the wrap, the rumours around the web suggest that the YBA SUV will be available in both diesel and petrol engine options.

Coming to the specifications of the engines, the diesel variant of the YBA SUV is likely to pack 1.5-litre diesel engine, which is down-sized version 1.6 litre JTD motor and the petrol model of the car is likely to get power from the existing K12 and K14 mills. As for the features, expect the car to accommodate ABS with EBD, SmartPlay infotainment system and airbags.

When launched, the car will rival Ford's popular EcoSport and in India, the YBA is likely to get a price tag around of ₹5.5 lakh.

For the coming year, Maruti is also readying the facelift of its popular Swift Dzire sedan and a new premium hatchback codenamed YRA. The new hatchback which is likely to get 1.2 litre petrol and 1.3 litre diesel engines will be pitched against Honda Jazz and Hyundai Elite i20 in India.
