The recent war of words between two of the most gorgeous looking tennis players -- Maria Sharapova and Eugenie Bouchard -- could be transcending to their battleground -- tennis court -- at the Madrid Open 2017 tournament, scheduled for a Friday May 5 start.

Sharapova and Genie Bouchard could have a potential second round meeting in the tennis tournament, if their first round matches go smooth.

"Cheater" or not, the verbal war between them can finally come to an end with a handshake, post the match.

The defeat to France's Kristina Mladenovic in the Stuttgart Open 2017 semifinal has come as a major disaapointment for Sharapova, returning to the court following receiving a wildcard after a 15-month doping suspension.

Sharapova, 30, will no doubt be looking for nothing but lifting the title in Madrid. She takes on compatriot Anastasia Pavlyuchenkova in the first round.
