Marathi film "Sairat" has been declared as the all-time blockbuster hit at the box office. The film, which has been running in theatres since three weeks, has minted more than Rs. 65 crore at the box office.

"Sairat" has rewritten history at the box office with its phenomenal theatrical run. Nagraj Manjule's directorial is among the rare films that have shown tremendous growth at the box office. The film, which was released in limited screen count in its first week, is now been running in more than 525 screens in India.

"Marathi film #Sairat does a whopping ₹ 65 cr+ nett biz in 3 weeks ... Enters Week 4 at more than 525 screens. ALL TIME BLOCKBUSTER!" trade analyst Taran Adarsh tweeted.

The film will continue to enjoy a good fourth week at the box office, as the word of mouth is still strong. "Sairat" is likely to end its four weeks run with a total collection of more than Rs. 70 crore.

Producer Nitin Keni, CEO-Founder of EsselVision Productions, gave credit to Ajay-Atul for the film's dream run in theatres across India. Nitin also said that they are planning to make the Telugu version of the film, followed by a Gujarati and Hindi versions.

"The rough cut was complete and we decided to gamble another Rs 60-70 lakh by sending Ajay-Atul to the US to record live music with 100 instrumentalists and musicians performing at the Sony Theatre in Los Angeles. Guess that paid off too," the producer told Mumbai Mirror.

"We are rolling with the Telugu remake of the film first, followed by a Gujarati version, and, of course, Hindi. The idea is to not make a sequel, but replicate this success in different regions," Keni added.

"Sairat" is a love story in the backdrop of caste discrimination. The film features Rinku Rajguru and Akash Thosar in the lead roles.
