Malkangiri, Oct 01 (ANI): Maoists killed a youth in red corridor of Odisha. Reportedly, the youth was killed by the red rebels in Malkangiri district of the state as they suspected him of being a police informer. The police found the body in the nearby forest in a pool of blood with his throat slit. It is suspected that the Maoists came from Chhattisgarh as the Malkangiri district is located near Chhattisgarh border. Maoists, also known as Naxals, have killed police and politicians, and targeted government buildings and railway tracks in an insurgency that has killed thousands since 1960s.
