Lohardaga, May 14 (ANI): Naxalites in Lohardaga town of Jharkhand raid the Pakhar mines, assaulted workers and set fire to trucks and a tractor. They made the labourers hand over their mobile phones before setting fire to the trucks and tractor and threatened to return if any attempt was made to douse the fire. A witness, Gopal, told reporters what actually happened. Police and authorities arrived at the scene of the attack and investigation is still in progress. Superintendent of Police Mrityunjay Kumar said that the attack was orchestrated by local Naxals. Maoists, also known as Naxals, have killed police and politicians, and targeted government buildings and railway tracks in an insurgency that has killed thousands since the 1960s.
