Gaya, Feb 25 (ANI): Maoists blew up a vehicle carrying India's paramilitary Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) personnel, killing two and injuring 10 others, in Gaya district of Bihar. Commandos of Commando Battalion for Resolute Action (COBRA), a CRPF unit trained to tackle Maoist issue, were returning to their base after conducting a search operation. The injured were rushed to a nearby hospital. According to media reports, the Maoists also fired at the personnel after the blast. Maoists seek the violent overthrow of the Indian state but have so far not managed to spread significantly into urban areas. They have killed police and politicians and targeted government buildings and railway tracks in an insurgency that has killed thousands since the 1960s.
