New York, Sep 29 (ANI): Amidst opposition and controversy, Prime Minister Manmohan Singh met his Pakistani counterpart Nawaz Sharif in New York on Sunday late evening. The meeting comes even when India is facing border insurgencies and attacks from across the border, but the PM remains hopeful that talks between both countries would normalize the situation between them. Singh met Sharif a day after the later termed Indian prime minister as a 'village woman whining in front of Obama' to the journalists, off the record.
