Bangalore, Oct 15 (ANI): Miscreants attacked an engineering student from Manipur, T Michael Lamjathang Haokip, in Bangalore for not speaking in local language. Haokip, president of a students’ association, and his friends were attacked when they were eating food on October 14. On our way back to our home, on the roadside we were having a small discussion and refreshment. Then three locals came and since we were engaged in our discussion, they questioned us you are eating Karnataka food and you are living in Karnataka, you have to speak Kannada. Haokip has sustained injuries on his head, back, shoulders, foot and ankle. Two of his friends have sustained minor injuries.
