The release date of Mani Ratnam's much-awaited audio of his forthcoming Tamil movie "Ok Kanmani" has been announced through an innovative video. The music album will hit the stores on 4 April.
People have been keenly awaiting the release of the audio of "OK Kanmani" ever since the first song teaser "Mental Manadhil" was released. The promotional video had taken the music lovers by storm and created positive vibes around the album.
But there was no official word about the music release. It was speculated that "Ok Kanmani" album could be released on 1 April. However, clarifying all the speculations, the makers have announced the news through a video on their YouTube official page.
The video clip announces that it will be released on 4 April midnight. The video further unveils the track list. The Telugu version of the album is also expected to be released on the same day. It is not clear whether the makers will organise a grand function to release the audio or it will be directly released to the market.
"Ok Kanmani" has nine songs composed by two-time Oscar Award winner AR Rahman. Vairamuthu has worked on the lyrics of the songs, which have been crooned by Aaryan, Darshana, Shashaa Tirupati, Karthik, Jonita Gandhi, Sathya Prakash, KS Chitra and AR Ameen. Rahman has lent his voice to a few tracks too.
The upcoming movie stars Dulquer Salmaan and Nithya Menen in the lead roles. It is a romantic movie featuring Prakash Raj, Leela Samson, Ramya Subramaniam and others in the cast. While PC Sreeram handles the cinematography, Sreekar Prasad is editing the film.
"Ok Kanmani" is produced by Mani Ratnam and this is a crucial movie for him as his last few movies have bombed at the box office. The film will hit the screens on 24 April.
