New Delhi, Jan 1 (ANI): A 16-year-old girl who was gang raped in Madhyamgram on October 26 died on Tuesday after setting herself on fire on December 23. Speaking on the same, NCW Chairperson, Mamta Sharma on Wednesday said that the role of police in this case is not right as according to reports earlier Kolkata Police had refused to hand over the body of the victim to her father for cremation. She further said that the CM Mamata Banerjee should take up this case very seriously and added that she is going to write a letter to her asking what action is she taking for all these crimes that are happening against women.
