Mammootty's Masterpiece movie review: Live audience updates

Megastar Mammootty's most-anticipated Masterpiece has finally hit the theatres in Kerala as the first Christmas release of the year on Thursday, December 21. With no biggies locking horns against the campus action thriller, the film has opened to houseful shows all over the state on the opening day itself.

In the Ajai Vasudev directorial, Mammootty portrays the role of strict English professor Edward Livingstone aka Eddy at a college in Kerala. The stylish avatar of the megastar in the promo videos has already impressed the audience who have high expectations from the flick.

Masterpiece also has Unni Mukundan, Varalaxmi Sarathkumar, Mukesh, Poonam Bajwa, Gokul Suresh, Maqbool Salmaan, Santhosh Pandit and Lena, among many others in significant roles.

Deepak Dev has composed music for the action entertainer, which is scripted by Uday Krishna and captured by Vinod Illampally. CH Muhammed has bankrolled the project under the banner of Royal Cinemas.

Special Lady fans show

Special fans shows have been arranged across the state and interestingly, for the first time in the history of Malayalam cinema, a premiere show exclusively for lady fans of Mammootty was screened at Chengannur. The photos from the theatre have been doing the rounds on social media.
