A drama series currently airing in one of the major broadcast networks is supposedly killing off its star when the ongoing season comes to an end, reported TVLine.

According to the website, the emotional death scene will occur toward the end of the episode and there will be a cemetery scene. The "star" hasn't been officially released from his/her contract. However, an insider said: "As it stands now, [redacted] is not returning next season."

This blind item from TVLine has sparked a lot of discussion on who would die and who deserves to die. A majority of fans believe the show mentioned in the article is "Castle" and Stana Katic's Beckett would be the one to go.

However, Katic has not been signed on for next year and therefore has no contract to be released from. Also, "Castle" is yet to be officially renewed.

The cast of "The Good Wife" can be ruled out as the show is coming to an end with Season 7. Similarly, the leads of "Bones," too, appear to be safe.

According to one section of fans, Robin Hood from "Once Upon a Time" seems to be the one hinted at in the TVLine article.

"Not sure but I heard there was a picture of Robin Hood's grave in 'Once Upon a Time' with Regina dressed in black in front of it. I haven't seen the pic though," noted one fan, while another pointed out the show recently filmed a funeral scene and Regina was spotted saying goodbye to someone.

Robin Hood is portrayed by British actor Sean Maguire, and rumours swirling around suggest he will soon leave the show.

When TVLine questioned the actor about his rumoured departure from the show, Maguire did not give a definite answer. However, he did note things are going to get dark and scary on "Once Upon a Time."

"We're going to the Underworld, so I don't expect much good stuff is going to happen! But as to where it's going to lead [for Robin], I can't say," he said. "There are obstacles everywhere — a lot of bad people from the past are coming back and they are not too happy with our heroes. If 'Once Upon a Time' was the 'Star Wars' franchise, this would be Empire Strikes Back. It's going to get dark, it's going to be scary, and there will be surprises."
